Someone got a partner who can cook for example prehaps???
My wife is a chef and regularly caters for 500+. She cast her beady eye over the facilities in the kitchen and said it was a non-starter to produce the large amount of orders necessary in a short time lapse.

The cooker isn't big enough, the washing facilities couldn't cope and there isn't enough prep area - and that's just for starters.

Next year I'll take a steady jog down on the Saturday, put my tent up, have a look around at who's there and occupy myself accordingly whilst you're all mesmerized by a train or two. Saturday night will be either on-site dining or a trip to a pub in another village, whilst Sunday will be spent wondering around looking at everyone else's cars and talking to their owners and then setting off home mid afternoon.

In essence the pub was a disgrace, the convoy was everything but, and a Saturday afternoon playing with trains is boredom personified in my mind. I enjoyed nattering with members old and new and gained a lot of info, especially from the guy who maintained Goldie for 10 years whist she was being abused by her owner. Although I've spoken to him on the phone a few times it was a big surprise to meet him in the flesh, and he was amazed at the condition of her considering how she had been treated. He took enough photo's to fill an album and came back 3 or 4 times for a natter.

Not the owner, the mechanic.

Not quite her owner Paul but the chap that maintained it - he was passenger with Jon with the lovely and restored Delage Red Series 1 CX GTi Turbo.

It's a very small world the Citroen world - around two'ish years ago the mechanic and the then owner desperately needed a fuel pump for it and they came down in the mechanic's wife's Ford KA! Luckily at the time we had an XM breaking which yielded the pump for it. He was looking at the CXs we also had here and mentioned a mate of his had one similar and called Jon! Small world as we also knew Jon...!

Bet he was delighted to see it being looked after so well. There's a walking service history if I ever saw one!
