I have an idea Jaap. If a ferry crossing is expensive, why not fly (if it's cheap) and borrow a car when over here?

Borrow a car, hmm well I could ask to borrow a burned out Laro, or a Hyace without an ignition lock, maybe even a Honda Civic automatic. Or a Ford escort. That's it. But first I will have to go to the owners in Swindon area..Wouldn't mind visiting those folks anyway and they are used to having the XM parked in between their autmobiles.

ps. I don't know anyone elkse in the UK apart from Robert who is on the wrong side of the Irish sea.
