Annoyed  More like ballistically mad with Webfusion. That server had been perfect whilst on test and now twice in three days. Tech Suppport are not answering either. Deluged with angry sysadmins I expect. I'm an IT pro on a Help Desk myself and if we treated our clients like this we'd be hanged.

They say they have "connectivity Issues". Basically balls as all their netorking should be totally fault tolerant.

I am so very sorry and will do all humanly possible to restore service ASAP. I'll be looking into a new hosting company as well.

Please bear with me on this.

Hi Jim

Im sure everyone understands perfectly, doesnt make it any less annoying for you but it will take as long as it takes i guess...........at least all four Citroen forums arent down together though  that would cause a few members to come out in a cold sweat, me included  .

Thanks for the kind words Dean :D

I settled down with the phone to get onto their Help Desk and prepared for a lt of holding, only to be answered straight away!

Here's the unbelievable story. Our server is being migrated to a new datacentre tonight. That's fine except they gave no warning and the IP address will change  The outage on Tuesday was apparantly caused by an abandoned attempt to migrate the servers across.

I actually spoke to a very good and helpful person on their desk and he understood my slightly peeved tone.

Upshot is that the server will not be back with us until 09:00 tomorrow morning.

Hopefully then, normal Webfusion reliability will be restored.

Terrible timing really but let's just hope and pray this will be the last hiccup.

I'm not impressed though...

I guess I'll have a lynch mob to face once the FCF and BXC comes back up on-line....

I would say the Lynch mob is on bxc, fcf boys are sound as a pound  mind you with the forum down everyone can get some work done on their cars rather than hiding indoors in the warm talking about fixing them ;)

Hi Paul :D

I can tell you the XM bug could easily bite. It's why I'm not very regular on here  I've been a closet XM admirier for a very long time...

A nice late V6 could be very nice but with all these Xantias I have...
