I actually own one of the above cars. It is a 1989 model and it appears that Citroen used a glass sunroof on last few models. I have been told it is from XM or BX. The car including the sunroof has always been silver and i always thought it had a metal sunroof. Only after it got scratched, i realised it was glass.
It has 2 way switch. One way for opening fully and the other for opening the back. It measures 80 x 46 cm including the plastic surround around the glass. I desperately need a new glass, not scratched, only as the rest works. If anyone can be of help, that would be treat.
Thanks Philip

The standard XM factory production sunroof hole (metal opening) is 91.5 x50 cm.
These are easy to find at present as they were the type fitted to XM's for ten years from 1990 on.

Most early XM's (1989) were manufactured with a full steel roof.
To provide some UK XM's with sunroofs Citroen retrofitted many of the stock cars at the Slough factory.
The sunroof used was a little different in size from the later XM production one.
You cannot swap them or mix parts.
From what you say I suspect that it was a case of Slough using CX stock items for the few early XM's they modified.

Do not rely on the dates quoted above.
Check any possible donor for actual size.

The sunroof was likely originally made by Webasto, if that helps.
Still manufacturing http://www.webasto.com - maybe their technical/applications team could help.
