hi all
as i said in the intro section

Sir Jim suggested to register here as i was on the phone to him regarding a G reg 2.1 diesel Auto im off tomorrow top check out,

apparently it hes been stood in an underground car park since around 2007, it is possible some on here might know the car or its deceased owner,

my plan is to try and get her started and rinse of the dust with water, then next weekend move her to my workshop,

now the possible problem is there is major building/construction work around the flats it lives at, and the building company are making noises to have it removed to a breakers yard, and bill the owners sister who is dealing with the estate,

sounds like we might be able to just move it to a different parking bay for a short while,
i will know more after checking it out,

if i deiced not to take it it will need moving very prompt then i will notify any interested parties,

I'm interested and can act reasonably promptly.

You shouldn't have any trouble starting it with a good battery or even jump leads, it sounds as though its been in a good environment for the last 6 years. Give the fuel primer a good pump and I would be surprised if it doesn't go - take a tyre pump with you as well. Hope it turns out well for you.

A G reg shouldnt have an AUTO. AUTO was not an option until 1991 Late H into J plate.. unless its a newer car with an older plate, or personal plate.

Youll want to do it up Malc. Can see it happening now.. Theres a few areas to look out though beleve me. !!

A diesel engined 'G' plate car must be fairly rare and from my memory the V6 auto was not available until March 1990. Regards, Matthew T.

My V6 12v auto is on a 'G' Paul and was registered in June 1990! With regards, Matthew T.

That's not a diesel, though.

Diesel Auto's weren't available until 1992.
