ALL in an afternoons work...

Productive afternoon today... Didnt start till 1.30.. then fitted a front and middle exhaust to a 2.1 TD XM, then on my Xantia, I fitted some rear pads to the passenger side as they were down to the metal, then back to the XM again, and did a pinion valce on the steering rack swap due to a leak..

and on the XM its not a bad job to do at all.. unfortunally NO PICS because theres no room for a camera anyway.. but after the steering colum if off, and UJ joint out the way, then its all VERY possible through the wheel arch, but you NEED to go under the car to get at the other end of the two Pinion to RAM pipes... otherwise, not a bad job to do!

Got the replacment pinion in place and piped up and tight ready for UJ and colum refit tomorrow...

Finished at 5.30... so exhaust, one side rear pads and a pinion valve swap in 4 hours.. Im happy with that... :)

And there I was all pleased with my efforts and you've done that lot in an afternoon. Very good...don't like the sound of the steering rack as a job though..... ;)

Nice one Paul. :D

Thanks Jim.. i only need to put the uj joint on and steering Colum..

other jobs for today look at one xantia suffering from stiff steering..either uj or blocked sucker filter in the tank and another the rear end is stuck down so highly likely dog bone.. Two nice and simple ones... I Hope..
