Prius Work

The time has come to do a few jobs on the Prius. On the list is a coolant change, it's important because the power invertor is water cooled so I don't want any corrosion in it's water ways. The wheel trims are scratched and the alloys are showing signs of corrosion - yes it has both. The alloys are going to be cleaned up (grit blasted) and sprayed silver rather than the dark grey they are now. The wheel trims sorted out with filler and resprayed. I'm going to give the brakes a clean up whilst the wheels are off - one's a squeaker which is no good when trying to sneak up on people in stealth mode...

Well they do have a good reputation battery wise so fingers crossed. If it fails I can either go for a salvage one or send mine away for replacement cells. She's up to 113K and everything still works flawlessly. It feels very taught still.

They're very relaxing to drive, especially in urban areas.
