Am househunting just now as we try resolve the lack of space/too much stuff issues in our house (garage, carport, three sheds and attics) and everywhere I go I am finding XMs.

Two S1 hatches in Broadwell,two doors down from a house we looked at (it shows three on Street view too) plus a DS Pallas, then my estate agent tells me he has an XM auto estate with about 100k miles (2.1TD) that belonged to his dad (the third he had owned) that has languished in the garage for two years and would I want to buy it ...


They're everywhere, I tell you.

That 50's film with the killer car springs to mind here i think dont think they are going to let you leave!

I am tempted by the XM estate, especially as I am considering selling the motorhome to release some funds to pay for a new house.

That's where they all are.

I want four pedal ones

A 100k miles estate is still going to have some life left in it even as an auto.

I will find out tomorrow a little more!

Autos in my experience can attain high mileages Ok. I have driven a couple of high mileage autos and they have been fine.
