Why am I doing this??

Well since the strut top near failure, I seem to find myself repairing other things.

I have 5ltrs of LHM to do a fluid change,
Oil and filter.
Pumped up the spheres
I even repaired the fog lamps!!!!! by retro fitting a slimline aftermarket fog lamp inside the original casing, best of all I went Gallic style pre-EU and fitted yellow lamps. My original reflectors had lost almost all of the silvering.
I even have plans to tidy up the headlamps, I run 90mm HID Hella de lamps in place of the dip part of the reflector all behind the original glass.

I keep finding myself looking at parts on Ebay aswell

All I need is front seat covers, Sidelamps with outer glass, nose cone, n/s wing.

If this carries on I'll even get around to washing it

Just out of interest where can you get the yellow headlamps and are they legal in the UK?! With regards, Matthew T.

Have you already installed the Hella projector lamps, or intend to, if you have, where did you get them and how much?
I keep thinking of doing this, but have another solution in the wings, which should see modern reflectors inside the unit.

Your top link shows the Avatar.

How do you work with adjusting the projector lamps for MOT?

2nd time

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SET-2-UNIVERS ... 415cc6e491 they fit really nicely in original lamp and the factory lens pattern gives a nice pattern, they need aligning but surely the yellow is better in fog. they have that retro french look with the amber effect lens as noted in another post

The main beam is adjusted with the original factory knobs, the projectors are adjusted by screwdriver i set them up on a wall, they produce a perfect beam long wide with a sharp cut off, the dip is comparable to any factory HID like BMW etc. I never get flashed and it's passed the mot every year.

A well respected member of this forum may be popping by with a strut top for me, I'll let him vouch for how good they are

Can you adjust the projector units with them inside the headlamp?

This is really interesting. Can you take some pictures of the lamps please. How did you get them in there, the adjustment points etc etc.

This is the first time I have seen these projector units retrofitted into a regular headlamp, and think you may be onto a winner; with the doubt that is in some people minds regarding the legality of using regular HID Xenon conversion kits.
