Well that "XM I TURBO AUTO 1" 2.1 (diesel) estate must be mine, 1 broken up into parts and 1 put back on the road

Will, the series 1 figure above, is that the on the road figure? if not how many series 1 cars are still showing in existence?

That is on the road cars. There are more SORN cars than on the road, but both are going down each quarter.

Not sure which figure is the most worrying. 114 left of a car that is between 20 and 25 years old , or 342 of a car that is 14 to 20 years old. The assumption has to be that more of the S2 cars will be used as daily hacks and their attrition rate will see them down to S1 levels, if not below!

In another five years or so we could see less than 200 XM's on the road.

If you think that's bad, just check out the numbers for BX 16 valve gti's.

Well mine is a daily hack and I know of at least another similar spec one that is but that should please most as they are the 2.5's that don't seem to be as well loved..

Just over a 1000 all told;
