Misting windscreen

Someone give me a clue before I give it a good kicking - how do I stop the windscreen misting up? I have cleaned it about 3 times and then bought some wipes from Halfrauds and it still mists up! I drove it earlier on and it wouldn't clear. The fan seems slow as well. Any ideas?

sounds to me like the heater matrix is leaking and water vapour is being blown out and condensing on the screen, either that or the re-circ flap is stuck.
Are you using any coolant?

Heater matrix, or is the ventilation set to re-circulate? Check for damp carpet and sunroof leaks also.

Also check the air intake in the front scuttle isn't full of wet leaves and the water diverter tray is complete and working.

I second that. Rod the drain tube in teh front scuttle (I use an old plastic strip from a windscreen wiper to do mine) in case it has got clogged.
I thought my heater matrix was leaking, but found that the tube was blocked with pine needles preventing water from draining away properly. result was wet carpets.
Wasn't there a trick to dry out cars before dehum units were invented, putting a bowl of cement powder (or was is quicklime?) in teh car, closing all the doors and leaving it for a while. The powder would absorb the water vapour.

Silica gel is a commonly used desiccant and can be reconstituted for re-use by heating for a couple of hours at 120C.
Other materials such as cement will absorb water vapour very slowly, react chemically and harden.

Newspaper is excellent for absorbing water out of carpets.

That sounds worth a try as it has leaves everywhere! I take it the front scuttle is the piece under the front windscreen!?
