Hi all .

It is with great sadness that due to work comitments and a company car in the pipeline ! i have now to let my loved Xm go !!!

I have to many cars , and i have to do the drasic thing and go with the last in first out situation.
having recently changed my career, to something completly differant, i will be traveling a lot , and a company car is also being supplied.
So iv'e decided to let the Xm and others go !
The car was purchased from Phil (citroenesque) back in April of this year, pictures of the car can be found on my topic , My polished Xm !!,
The ol'd girl is Mot'd till next April & Taxed till end December, any questions i will gladly answer, i thought i would put the feelers out on here first before advertising it elsewhere, because it has to go to a good loving home.

The minimum i'm after is £750, but will be advertised for a lot more privatly, i think that is a fare price for the car , it has a good history, and is pretty much scratch & blemish free,

Thanks guys for all your advice in the past, you are a superb bunch, with a wellth of knowledge, and have been very helpful to me, and i'm sure in the future i will purchase another Xm,

Nigel

A shame, Nigel. But congrats on new job etc. Good you got the long MOT and the Tax sorted. Any news on the blowing manifold? Or was that fixed? I must say it wasn't at all bad when you and I had a root around. Did it get worse then?

Hi Phil

No It's no worse !, still the same, but has been no problem, thanks for the congrats, it's been a great car, and i love driving it, i'm trying to find a way to kepp it, but with the recent purchase of the wifes new car , Renault clio auto lovely little car on an M plate with 32000 miles from new, and three other cars in the house hold, i have to thin them down,
If i cannot get what i want for it, then it will go into the heated garage, and be sorn ! and will get rid of something else !!!, i have the 307 to get rid of, and the Megane, so room is tight at Dalehouse !! lol

Two very obvious candidates there. If you have a nice well sorted XM that you like then keep it as they are hard to come by, whereas the pug and Renault are ten a penny and going down...

Keep her Nigel, get rid of some of the other stuff. You will regret letting this car go!

From my experience 'cos I've got one too, GET RID OF THE PUG ! and keep the xm in mothballs until such a day as you need it again - this day WILL come.

You know it makes sense, Colin.P

I agree - the 307 is NOT a car to keep in preference to an XM! ;)

Get rid of the Megane!

Electrical problems, if not, gearbox problems are known! Look at lagunas! most of the spares/repair cars are Gearbox problems! A GREAT shame really, I love the Laguna, Laguna 1 in particular.. (They also have the PRV V6 in them )

EDIT: Ah you have got rid of the megane!!

I KNOW !!!!

yes the Megane has gone, and the 307 sw hdi, what i pile of s****e that is , it's been trouble from day one , spent more time in the dealership under warrentee,

i know i will regret it, i have loads of interest, and 30 odd people watching, so you never know it may fech a good price too !
il'l leave it till the last, i have it advertised it loacaly for a lot more, and two people have viewed it and are interested,
If not it will go into the garage with a bit of a squeeze, and be covered up for a while.

thanks for all your replyies, you are a great bunch, and i know your all right !!!

Nigel
