You obviously have a large back yard, perhaps she won't notice :D Very useful though, the wife as well. I used to have a Peugeot 404 like Robmac's, and it was diesel :o

The old 404's have all but disappeared over the last decade or so. You used to see the rare 404 (particularly when set-up for rallying/variety bashes). Even the locally made cars that are 25years old ++ have all but disappeared from the roads too :(

Our backyard is ok, the problem is getting the big trailer in and out. I must go through an 'S' bend around the front of the shed....... The trailer in probably 6metres long and 2.5metres wide, the car is 5metres long .................... So your trying to take a car/trailer that's nearly 12metres long and 2.5meters wide around a corner that a car without a trailer can *just* get around :o I end up pulling one set of wheels of the trailer and using a winch to pull it around the garage (you can't turn trailers with two axles unless you have 'em hooked to a car).... Then hook a car back up and push it up the backyard.

I've thrown up an old 2nd hand 13 x 6m "storage" shed with no floor 6metres forward of the back fence. All the wrecks are hidden behind this shed (all seven of them  ). The shed I put my old DS's (restoration projects) and a very sound rust free '79 CX2400 C-matic in ....................... Sadly then my father stuck his traction, 2cv and CX wagon behind them ... leaving the storage shed full.... so I still have nowhere to put anything ...... sigh .... I have only one tiny little single car garage to struggle along with (well I guess you can see that in the piccies).

We intend to shift onto acerage out of town in the near future with lots of shedding. The problem is the housing market out here is insane. There's a housing shortage so they sell really quickly for huge $$$ :(

The housing market is just the opposite here, its been dead with prices actually dropping for the last couple of years, it is coming out of it now though with modest price increases. We haven't got as much room on our small island as you have on your giant continent so the cost of land is astronomical, we have a small acreage here but its the exception rather than the rule - I envy you all those wide open spaces. :(

Oh no ........................... All that effort getting those damn ramps into my tiny little shed ...................... And we just bought another house .... :o :o In 90days we have to be out. So I need to move those ramps again  (not to mention the 13 cars and 3trailers stashed around the yard ). Oh well at least we'll have room for more "treasures". The place isn't as big as we were originally looking at ( a bit over 4acres .... about 16500 square meters).... But finally I'll have a decent shed !!!! In theory there will be room undercover for about 15cars

I hope SWMBO likes cutting grass

Hi Shane

Hope the move goes well, it will take you a while to drive all those cars, if they drive, longer if not. We have been in our present house for 40 years, so I think we have decided to stay. We have about five acres which is unusual in this tiny country but very nice - and very expensive :o

Some drive, none can be legally driven on public roads though (as they are not registered). Luckily one of the trailers is a car trailer (gee's I'm glad I made made that... I guess I better finish it and add the winch mount and tie down rails).

This will give an idea of what I'm up for ....

Sadly our place sold without even advertising it to developers :( There is going to be god awful sh!tful units/housing in that nice backyard :( ...... Of course this means the backyard is best empty, so I'm knocking down the big shed and the garden sheds/cubby house and taking them with me. Talk about a lot of work !!!

Once all of this is done, I just need to shift the house contents... You know, the only bit most "normal" people need to do

Yes, I see the problem. I noticed an early diesel CX amongst your treasures, didn't think you allowed diesels down there :D

I thought old Citroens were rear down there? Do you have every CX and DS in the country? ;)

I presume you don't have to move the whole lot in a day?
