Hi Peter

How wet and boggy is the field just now?
Just a possibility at the moment.

Hi Peter,

Peter
When I was on the FCF a couple of evenings ago I was reading a Blog or Gallery section,
where I remember that Chris (citroenmad) was possibly selling his recently purchased 2.1 TD MANUAL Estate in Magenta (As featured/discussed on THIS forum) :D

IIRC it was due to change of circumstances/requirements and that the car count needs to be reduced !
Also he's had a lot of work done to it including all the paintwork as needed, I also see that he's not posted on this forum (Since Sat Dec 26, 2009) with any any updates progress/change of circumstances on this XM Estate !
So get in 'quick' Peter and show him your money

I would have put a direct link for you to that thread on FCF (If it was not down) , but unless of course there's no need if you have read that thread and are aware of this ?

Last I read Chris post, he's planning to move the white 16v on and keep the 2.1 estate as it's had
a lot of work carried out and plans to get some use out of it! Mind, I don't see it going for £150,
or £1500 for that matter but a mite more judging by what it was bought for and has had spent
on it upgrading it's paintwork and servicing etc.

There is the C5 factor to weigh into the equation mind as it's not all sweetness and light
there it seems? I've just asked him if he likes the look of a Xantia I've seen too!!

Hi Jim

Sorry you're having such a drawn out saga of problems with the Webhost Jim. It does seem a more wide ranging problem now, given other 2008 machines there seem to have the same issues.

I really hope you see some relief soon, everyone knows you're doing everything you can to have it rectified as soon as possible, and really appreciates the hard work you're putting in. Its so frustrating when the problems out of your hands like that. If we can do anything at all to help matters, please just shout.

Thanks Ciarán :D

A recommendation of a good alternative host would be good

Been onto Webfusion three times today. I got really annoyed when I got cut off. I called back and got a bit "pointed" with them.

I was feeling a bit fobbed off if you know what I mean

I called back and raised a complaint. Upshot is that they over-estimated just how many VPSs each node (physical server) could carry and they started crashing under heavy traffic loads. It only took them three weeks to admit this  In ITIL-speak they got their capacity planning wrong and this had a very negative effect on their availability

They're currently rebuilding each node with fewer VPSs in a belief that will solve the problem.

Strikes me their reputation must now be severely tarnished and if they've mucked other around as much as me then there must be some very annoyed and frustrated clients out there...

I've lost a lot of my former high regard for them and it'll take a lot to restore my faith...

More news as I receive it...

Off to do my ITIL homework now and do a mock exam paper

The questions are devilish. Multiple choice but cunningly worded...

We sit the real exam tomorrow......
