That was member maxferreira's car. It has fairly corroded hydraulic pipes and from that video has a fair amount of corrosion in the sills.

2.1Sd Auto, L382 CKK, RP6043.

Could be made into a nice car again. From memory, it's Astral Blue/ Mondial Blue code KLS.
It will be interesting to see what he does to the seat covers, which have already been repaired once.

Yeah

Was basically forced to sell that car as my partner disliked it, sold it for way less than it was worth as she didn’t care in the slightest

I miss that car every day, sign of life when it was wAy easier

Stuck with a 2008 C4 Picasso now

I miss my XM and my old life, that’s an excellent example of an XM that was torn away from me

Hope it lives a long and healthy life

Now you know why some people grow a thick skin.

It all seems to have gone a bit quiet on the YouTube front from the chap that bought it, but his repair of the hydraulic pipe is illegal and not going to pass an MOT.

"Repairs to the pressure lines of hydraulic brake systems are unacceptable unless suitable connectors are used. Compression joints of a type using separate ferrules are not suitable."

Apologies in advance for resurrecting an old thread, L382CKK has just passed into my hands after winning it in an online competition. I'd be interested in any information that anyone has on it (good or bad!) as it has NOTHING with it. I'll do an introduction post when I get home from work tonight!

The car appears to have been a bit neglected, for example it has rust at the door bottoms, which is unusual for an Xm and shows it has been driven in all weathers and not had stone chips dealt with.
Xm are normally pretty resistant to body panel rust as they are galvanised and have rubberised, anti-chip, coating part way up the body.

The previously mentioned hydraulic pipe fix will need attention to be safe and shouldn't have passed an MOT. The YT joker used a compression fitting on the pipe, whereas it needs to have a flare, or swage, and back-nut type fitting. It doesn't have to be a Citroen type jointer as it doesn't screw into a Citroen component, so a regular Din type brake flare would do, but one can make a Citroen flare tool very easily.

Other than those points and the seats need dealing with properly, it has real potential to be a nice Xm again. The seat coverings are Sonata style.

I suspect you only purchased a few tickets for the raffle, so have won the car at very low cost, so should have a few pounds to spend on bringing it back to life.
