time to stop struggling, so it seems! You having a decent under ground, me getting a decent engine hoist, getting fed up of using my neighbours Valtra tractor in the mud All coming together now nicely!

Yes.. it is.. i have a hoist, had one for years so now have a good base to lift engines out etc.. need to do a cover now.. lol..

Build a timber shed around it, like I did. Temporary structure in Ireland, no planning permission needed. Nobody knows it's here anyway, hidden in the trees. Too bad it's not that simple in the UK as far as I know. But the 'tent', is a good idea!

I would just build something around the hard standing Paul. As long as it is temporary, you can knock it down if needs be. Mind you the farm is right out the way, so I cant see it being an issue with neighbors for example.

It is for me really. I was lucky enough when i lived in a caravan here at this place i got very good mates with my landlord before i moved in with my wife.. he got rid of the caravan but while i was here i filled up four sheds with stuff and had nowhere to move it too.

So i always did my work on this spot all the years and we struck i deal for me to keep my cars carry on with projects etc.

So the chance to make a base for my hoist came so i went for it FOC too...

Shame you can't pave the whole place...
