Admiral! I had them for a year with three cars, each entered with a separate and documented no claims entitlement. When I finished the policy after 1 year, I spent more than a year trying to get proof of no claims for each of the three entitlements. I gave up in the end.

Admiral are good though, im insured with them at the moment but may try Adrian flux or footman james this year and see what they come up with.

Mine has been plain sailing. The renewal came through with all the relevant documents showing the amount of NCD already in the renewal pack.

To Dean. yes I do get NCD on all cars.... maybe I should've insured the XM in Mrs Dm's name, she has longer NCD than me, but mine is 10 years so probably no price difference.

Do you not think that all these "jump through hoops" ideas are in theory to stop the assholes that drive with no insurance etc etc... but at the end of the day end up just being a complete headache for the normal drivers like us?

A wee baseball cap wearing dickhead doesn't give 2 hoots as to whether or not his/her car has tax or insurance! These are the same people who drive without a license, while banned, who are most likely to hit you and keep on driving or dump the car and run. Once again good sensible drivers will hand over more and more and more money, fill out more and more and more paperwork, and the people that this is meant to "target" keep on driving illegally not giving a shit who they hurt, who they spoil it for, and whether they are "breaking the law" or not !

As for multi-car policies, one of those would be nice, especially the way Ciarán is starting to collect XMs!

I will, as long as they aren't one of those nice companies who exclude NI :S

I'm with Primo - their main multicar policies are with chaucer.

But they are a real company with real time contact with brokers - no computer says no rubbish from them.

I didn't really have time to shop around this time, but will. Do you know if Primo do breakdown cover as well and can vehicles be insured for business use?

Will

they do a choice of no breakdown, UK breakdown or European for any vehicle on the policy, regardless of size and age.

I took the UK option and have used it once - works OK.

Business use - all of mine have business use on the policy, so I guess it is yes.

The policy itself is very flexible

I have the following covered

Mercedes motorhome - with motorhome cover inc contents, etc
two XMs
punto cabrio
scooter
Messerschmitt
bond minicar
smart roadster - heavily modified

I recommend them - the cost of my insurance is £1320 pa for the eight - whereas I was paying £1250 for three when I was last insured separately.
Each vehicle is earning its own NCD too.

I will. Mine is £1030 for three at present including national breakdown and recovery, but I may be looking to alter that so will check before committing.
Shame really as I've only recently renewed.
