Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Window motor/relay

Post by pj3107 » Tue Jul 28, 2026 4:06 pm

Hi All
Have had no joy getting my driver's side window to go up or down...decided to bite the bullet and pull it out of door
It has a 9 pin connector (someone has been into it before) judging by the silicone sealant unless Citroen bought a job lot of that in the 90s 👀

Cable is all in place, nicely wrapped and tension springs seem good

Firstly...Please can anyone out there tell me which of the 9 terminals to apply power to ...to simply get the thing to operate or not as the case may be.

If it doesn't operate would anyone know where I can source a replacement ?
Thanks for reading 👍

Per Gabor's Series-2 wiring diagrams. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7592&start=110#p132408

Power is supplied to the unit on Pins-5, 6, 9, Gnd on Pin-1, but the internal controller supplies either forward, or reverse power to the motor, depending on which input receives a +ve input. Pins 8&4 are manual operation, pin-2 is auto up, pin-3 is auto down.
