Very nice, lovely colour that grey. It's interesting seeing a late mk1 SED. Mines a 92 too, however mine is a 1.5. I have the wood trim different head light switch ect.
Hope you manage to get a new door.

They look like XM spheres to me. Citroen have been painting all genuine spheres grey for a few years now.

Wrong shape; those have flattened tops.

they were C6 saucer spheres that i ordered new for my C6 C5 spheres are the same but never used them the car had some recharged green spheres when i got it and they were shot hard as hell when i took os one off was met with a 2 minute spray of lhm lol the C6 spheres i fitted not sure what pressure they were without finding the invoice but iirc they were 50 psi don't quote me on this
i have a set of rears inc a hydractive rigidity sphere which i may also fit on it at some point as these spheres have a longer life than the green lhm based spheres

Interesting. Important to get the sphere spec right.

Sphere spec will read something like 400/50/0.7 - which deciphers as 400cc/50bar/0.7mm diameter damping orifice.

Not aware that much has been written about fitting later sphere types to earlier vehicles, other than the increased use of triple-membrane technology to extend sphere life.

Each sphere location on the XM has its own sphere spec, which determines how the car handles and rides.

C6 spheres have a lower capacity, so should give a less supple ride. How do these feel?

I suspect the wobbly web wheels are incorrect for the year of car, they should be Itallia's.

This car was made 28 days before the Mk 1 facelift production started.
The Etoille alloys were introduced with the launch of the XM estate some 6 months previous.
