Poland car brief update!

I have not posted on this topic for a while, mainly due to a lack of significant progress and no further issues to report. It has recently been possible to acquire and fit a set of continental spec. wheel trims that I have always hankered after and very much prefer to the other style (see photos). Just to confirm this is the extremely early car lhd V6 previously owned by a Polish gentleman who drove her over about two years ago and I purchased from the Son living in Leeds. After some fairly major welding completed earlier on the front sills the next task is to find some reasonable insurance on the chassis number and try for an MOT to enable registration. I hope to have her on the road around the middle of this year for attendance at the CCC National at least. Regards, Matthew T.

Wow, this car really will be an interesting beast. Low spec wheel trims, v6 engine.
I am surprised you're not keeping it stock though, considering the early build. It does look good mind. :)

Thanks Robert and I also think the trims are rather stylish and just seem to suit the car! The design seemed to have originated with the Bertone prototype and gives a slightly futuristic/experimental look. Both wheel trims seem to have been available on the continent at least initially although we only got the other five studded type. I was lucky to spot the parts among Chevronics ebay listings and although three are a bit scuffed they are a rare find! With regards, Matthew T.

I may not keep the trims on the car Russ, but I really like the appearance and they are more in keeping on an early lhd! With regards, Matthew T.

Many thanks Rob and here are some some illustrations from the Martinez/Sauzay book and a Dutch market brochure. With regards, Matthew T.

Those trims were for base model cars only, all others got the disk ones.

Those trims just don't suit your car, Matthew. They would look a lot better on, say, a gold car. :P

That got me thinking... They would look rather better in Meteor Grey
