That is the case even when the CD changer is not fitted.fakeconcern wrote:I thought that about the CD although it does appear in both the handbook and the audio supplement.xantia_v6 wrote:The CD changer could have been dealer-fitted. I think the wood trim was fitted to all Exclusives.

Re: Fakemobile XM
Took the XM on an excursion to Whitstable and Margate today, didn't miss a beat! On the way we saw a DS (in an unfortunate brown colour) in Rye. If I had to make a criticism, I would say the suspension pitches slightly front to back on rolling A roads. I've never been in another XM so unsure if this is normal or not.
When I was nearly home, I noticed that the cruise control button warning light was no longer slightly lit up, so tried it and it works! Shame I was about a mile from home and didn't try it earlier in the journey. The switch itself didn't light up though.

I don't think it is normal, I notice body roll on cornering more than in a hydroactive Xantia, but not pitching.fakeconcern wrote: If I had to make a criticism, I would say the suspension pitches slightly front to back on rolling A roads. Check the markings on the spheres (particularly the corner spheres), as someone may have fitted comfort spheres or non hydroactive spheres.
I suppose the sphere damper holes might have been drilled out, which would not be externally visible.

Re: Fakemobile XM
There should be no pitching front-to-back, nor dive when braking or squat when flooring it. Good advice above.

If I go to the X Rally, someone can try it & let me know if it's how it should be. It doesn't roll much in corners or dive when braking or squat under acceleration. Good about the cruise though!

Re: Fakemobile XM
The one thing that doesn't work & is really annoying is the remote on the central locking. It all locks & unlocks from the key fine. The key remote LED comes on. I tried changing the batteries, I tried syncing (ignition on, press button for one second, found on XM forum, is this right?). Where do I go from here?
Another quick question
Is this really how the rear seats fold? I can't see how the seat base pulls up so is this it?

The base pulls up first.. over the centre is a strap.. pull it up hard and the base will come upwards....
there should be a leather strap over the centre base anyway....
