I've just looked at the pictures of this car, it's really very nice, great colour & my favourite wheels! I hope you take it to the X Rally.

Thank you. I am not someone who goes to car meetings but I am tempted to come along to an XM meet up this year.
Where and when is the next big event?

Found it! The X Rally (never heard of it!) at Burghley House near Peterborough inApril....is this the one to go for?
Do I have to tell anyone or register or do I just show up on the day in my crate with a fiver?

When I went to this event in 2013, I was in my C4 VTS, everyone still made me very welcome though! It would be nice to see you & your car.

The jacking point covers you have sound interesting
I didn't even know they existed until Russ mentioned it
The rear full length lens which the badges sit on...is that original?. as it has the series 2 badge set up on it?....

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question about the badge... all the lights, reflectors and full width tail panel were new. These were for a mark 2 car so are also slightly darker than the mark 1 set up as well as carrying the later style badges. I did think about changing the badges but couldn't be bothered...and I like them anyway as they are.
Now, after a busy 12 months, this car is now on the road again. One repaired exhaust manifold, four new gaskets and a new seal between manifold and front down pipe and it's great again.
This car has no issues at all. Everything works including air con, radio and all windows/sun roof. I popped on a new Bosch battery for good measure.
I'll get some new pics uploaded tomorrow.

Is your car Gris silex? With colour code ETW? If so, i very much look forward to seeing your pics!
