Paul, you are a star. The R clip is free as a bird. I have had it out and dropped the front of the strut to access the gaiter. I also took out the suspension feed pipe and the retaining wire. I couldnt get the strut out. I assumes the wire clamp holding the top of the gaiter on was the problem. I didn't want to pull it off anf give myself another job!
All help and support greatly appreciated. I shall chuck all my jacks, stands and field plinths into the back of the wreck next weekend.

HUGE thank you to Paul for bringing and fitting a replacement rear strut to the X Rally.

There was some rather anxious looks from fellow Citroen owners when the saw the surgery taking place in the grassy grounds of a historic building :)

Needless to say Paul was successful and the final score was: Wiltshire to Leicestershire 1 litre LHM, Leicestershire to Wiltshire 0 Litres LHM. A clear winner for the Welsh(ish) team!!!

Other than a rather tedious return journey it was a great day.

Excellent to see some old faces from CXM Rallies of Yore and put some new faces to names on the forum.

Thanks for all the encouraging words about the car (I know you were just being nice!!!)

Didn't realise you went to the cxm meets, did you have the silver CX turbo with the nice alloys?
