My latest V6 XM

Well the red XM has been here for 2 months now. Finally though I've had the garage empty when I've had time to have a look at it!
On Saturday evening I put the car in the garage on the ramp and got a look under it. It was indeed the front electrovalve that was leaking. The aluminium hex at the base had corroded away to nothing. I had one from the Xantia V6 I broke in the summer so I've put that on and tested it, the suspension is now working properly, it's nice and soft again and the leak has disappeared
I had a good look around it today and must admit to being pretty impressed with it's overall condition. It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as rotten underneath as I was expecting it to be either.
I've always known that my silver S2 XM was one of the last, being built on 26th May 2000 when the XM stopped being produced sometime in June 2000. This red car though is 4 days newer then my silver one
Interestingly though, they were BOTH registered on 28th June 2000.
Anyway, I hope rust isn't catching as they're parked nose to tail in the workshop at the moment.

David.
