Many thanks for your kind remarks chaps and I am pleased to have given the car a new lease of life!!

so im not a regular then mathew.. I didnt get a gearbox run down saga at cosford...

I do remember mentioning it to you at Cosford Paul but I know it was all rather frantic!!

Some of you may recall the earlier saga with a third removal of the engine and gearbox due to a cracked crankshaft-torque convertor flex plate, when the opportunity was also taken to rebuild and install a spare engine! I am now pleased to report that the car is now back on the road again after my recent completion of the work and a MOT pass. There have been a few small issues, with leaks from the radiator that required replacement and an abs valve block hydrualic return hose to re-tighten, and then a couple of days ago the petrol pump mysteriously died. In general I am very pleased with the car since the engine is much quieter and smoother than before and the box is also performing well after two rebuilds!! Here are a couple of recent photos and I look forward to showing the car at the National this weekend! With regards, Matthew T.

Looks like MTXM towers have gone up another notch...

Well done on persisting with that car Matthew. Iirc, there is a flex plate on ebay (or somewhere) at present, for about £28.

Very Nice, one of my more prefered colours.. Tell us if you know Mathew, what was the MOD the specialist did to prevent sticky valves again??
