Hello!
I bought my XM in 2002. It´s a 1997 TCT vsx break. I used it as an “every day”-car, or what you call it, for some years. It isn´t the most economical car to drive at +120km/h, so I started to look for another car, a diesel. After a holiday in Greece I discovered that some kids had drilled a hole in the tank, just to mangage to steal a couple of litres to their moped I think. Most of the petrol ran out on the ground… I ordered a Peugeot 307 HDi the same week.
I’ve got the tank replaced and I switched a strut top myself. Since then the car has spent most of it’s time I my garage. I have to fix a leaking rear suspension cylinder and replace the SC/MAC-sphere. I hope to get enough inspiration to fix the car in this forum.
By the way, I layed my hands on 1995 TCT break with leather interior and automatic gearbox. The hydraulic system was “finished” on that car, but I kept a lot of spare parts before I sent it to the scrapyard.
An extra XM can be useful, and it looks very nice I think.
Daniel

It does look good.
If your car had been a sinker they couldn't have drilled the tank...
