Quite.....not knowing if they are or not is a little torturous... ;)

Mine have been sprayed with plenty of gunk though. Will be checking a bit more thoroughly soon..albeit not as closely as that. :? :)

Checking the pipes does NOT have to be a frame off job..

You can check the ones that go up and to the top of the frame by simply lowering ONE side, the near side, of the frame only... no need to remove exhaust or spare wheel carrier for that bit.

I took it off as the unions on each end of the pipe that had split I couldn't remove, so I grabbed the bull by the horns and went full hog!

Apart from some surface rust it looks pretty solid under there. Amazed at how much room there is once the spare wheel carrier and back box are removed.

It does open up a good bit of working space.

Best way...then I suppose you can clean it up and properly rust proof it too before it goes back on. Nice one!

It would still take a massive brave pill to drop the subframe one side!!!
I might try a mirror on a stick and see if that works!!

did a bit of work under the car today... New clamp on the front section to middle section pipe, applied some ku rust to the chassis members around the rear subframe mounts as they upon closer examination have rust, but are NOT weak, i ALSO fitted some rear spheres to the back... now we have some rear end removal.

Didn't actually take any pics of the above work actually... then after that, while waiting for the Ku-rust to go off I set upon clearing the inside out.

The car is a Base D with fitted ABS.. which to me is Good! This means an easy upgrade to SE spec. However, the rear windows are manual winders, so a harness upgrade was in need.

So a strip out was in need to get at the harness's..

NOTE: 1994 S1.5 car, with mechanical fuel system, however, spot the "Keypad" plug harness is already fitted EVEN though its not needed!! Must be part of the dash harness!

Also the already removed main dash parts are NOT my dooing for removal, they were already removed when I recovered the car out the shed.

Harness's are plugged at each door, which makes removing easy, after undoing the circular plugs and caps are removed, also quite easy. The Loom that runs along the centre console to the switch;s on the centre console is all plugged up the front under the radio.

Harness pictures tomorrow. So started stripping the SED out to retrive the harness too..

The other unfortunate problem the rear doors with the window winders do not have the Electric Windows harness in the doors either. So that needs transplanting OR I do a complete door swap as they are both the same colour.

A door swap would make it easy, but I bet the paint doesn't match properly.

Actually Will they are almost identical i reckon they should...

Guess a door swap will also save breaking any door card clips.. they never go back the same. But i have a dillema.. the crome strips on the sed doors have been removedm i was gonna alloy tape them. But the door moulds are so bloody tight i cant get them off.. i know by 1994 sed moulds were body coloured but mine will have to stay grey.

Ill have to remove door cards to slacken the mould trim clips from inside so not sure which way to go. I ve got a set of door moulds in grey with good crome you see...
