I think it was only the very early lhd cars that did not have indicator repeaters Russ as I have seen later 1989 cars with them fitted. It should not be a problem for the MOT as you state. I am trying to get some information on the original (German) owner of the car via the seller. With regards, Matthew T.

I doubt it was a press car, no reason for it to be. Manufacturers build a number of cars pre-launch so they have something to sell on launch day.

I think what Russ meant was that it might have been one of the cars paraded at the Monte Carlo launch Will, which is always possible since there was a huge fleet of Meteor Grey XM in attendance. The cars must have been sold to someone I guess! Regards, Matthew T.

I have just heard from the Seller that in Poland most of the work was done by specialized Citroen garage. Apparently the German owner arranged servicing in France by an authorised Paris Citroen garage interestingly and the record might still survive which he hopes to forward! With regards, Matthew T.

Goodness, so it really has been cared for in its life. There must be a good service record then.
I find it interesting that a Priest bought it...how could he afford it!
Mind you, years ago a local vicar here, had a Rolls Royce.

I agree Russ although assuming that we are talking about the Catholic Church they are a bit wealthier than the good old C of E. Of course a lot of XM were company cars so why not the Church! The Priest must have been a bit of a tearaway too! Regards, Matthew T.

Priests and popes are better off in Renaults 4. Great cars for out and about and in the city as well. Cheap and green and fun to run, great fun!
Didn't you listen to the pope, Jim...! :) Don't take it from me...but you've got to give it to that man!

I did Jaap. 35 years ago I ran a Renault 4 and in fact had two of them... I loved them then and I still do now. Possibly the best cars I ever had.

Fine man that pope and an impeccable taste in cars :D
