Steve Berry's Citroen XM - Crunch!

Post by jwalshe » Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:04 pm

Hi all,

Some of you may remember former Top Gear presenter Steve Berry turning up at the X Rally in his immaculate early Si in April.

Sadly a Royal Mail van drove along the side of it at the weekend at the Ace Cafe. Steve is devastated but is keen that the car goes to an XM fan - as the damage isn't that bad (smashed side windows and damaged doors). Rest of the car is in fantastic condition. Would be a shame to see it on the scrap heap.

It's currently being stored in Wembley and is driveable (although probably not road legal due to smashed windows I'm thinking).

Anyway, PM me or email me at jamesonthebench at yahoo dot com. I have photos of the car, before and after.

Cheers,

James

Thanks Jim! Extra info I should have mentioned: The car has 40,000 miles. It's a minter!

I suppose if the chassis is not bent, then it might only need two new doors to make it water tight. What's the damage to the wings ect?

The Royal Mail should be made to pay out for that damage. I know it is an old car, but that is appalling.

2 new doors isn't the end of the world, paint job and ready to go again I think. Could be worse:)

Indeed, is the rear quarter-light intact as that can be tricky unless you're Paul...
