Russ, this year I've give up nicotine and caffeine. Giving up XM as well would be a step far too far

Nope, today's two joyrides confirms she's staying.

So are the Xantias mind, I can't give those two up either....

It must be great Jim having so many "joyride" cars to choose from :)

Now that i have the scenic to use all week, my xm isnt getting used much at all. I went to my sisters in it the other night after not driving it for about a week, and i too felt a great surge of enjoyment driving it again. From driving Xantias for years they really are something else arent they 8-)

We are taking the xm out today to the Blue Planet aquarium, its only been a few days, but im looking forward to it ;)

On a different note, after reading raggers blog this morning start to finish, it seems from your comments on the 2.1's that i need my aux belt tensioner changing. The belt drive is noisier than it used to be at lower revs and the belt is a dayco one fitted after i got the car off paul last year and still shows its painted writing on it so i know the belt is still ok. Do they ever just fail and throw the belt off'? or do they just get noisier?

I was looking at the grey leather interior Robert Smart is selling on ebay..... ;) Bit pricey though on s2 runners and also i think ill stick to velour as most on here claim its the best option for xm's......i do love the leather and wood combo in yours though :P

Hi Vince,

I'll take less for cash ;) ;) ;) , and can put them on series 1 runners for you (I think I have some here).

Bring your car over, and I'll even help you fit them!

For me Robert id have them in a heartbeat as the grey would look awesome in my grey car, and the price is fair i think for being a rare grey set. When i say a bit dear, i mean for my eternally empty pockets

I love leather interiors, but remember retro fitting leather into the xantia....my wife wasnt a fan as in winter they were freezing!!!

I do love the velour i have fitted already and being a base spec car i suppose putting leather in it wouldnt be true to its poverty spec roots  Good luck with the sale though, they look very nice 8-)

I agree, the grey is beautiful. When I saw then for sale on E-bay France a few years ago, I had to have them. I drove for a day to get them. They came from a really low mileage car, that was victim of the scrappage scheme.

It was a real shame. I saw the car it came from, it had a grey dash and grey seatbelts. It was a lovely 2.0 SEi. It had less than 50K miles on it.

Now that is an appalling waste. I hate everything about scrappage schemes.

Yes, my dad scrapped a lovely, tidy Pug 205D for the Nissan Pixo now enjoyed by my youngest daughter under the scheme. It was a nasty, appalling plan that benefited the Far East car makers more than anyone else...

The Koreans certainly did well out of scrappage. My very tatty AX that I gave under 200notes for gave me access to new small car. Can't say I'm proud of it but it made absolute sense to make the change.
