Get an impact wrench on the injectors, they will come straight out. The aluminium head contracts onto the steel injectors trapping them in.

It had a sholder inside it which the leak off pipes rubbed against and stopped the whole thing from locating properly.
I did find a review from someone and said they found the same thing on PSA injectors, and that draper sockets work. The one I had was a laser. So I ordered a new one last night.

Valves and oil stem seals are off. No corrosion on the valve seat, which is positive. Valves are a bit mucky, but look good. Need to clean them up first to really see the condition.

Just need the injectors out now. New socket arrived this afternoon, and it's useless.

Can anyone recommend the right tool?

What size (hex) are your injectors, Russ? 19mm? 22mm?

From memory, I'd say 27mm.

Are you buying injector sockets, or just regular ones?
