My Father had that cars twin, bought as an Ex-demonstrator and owned until about 2 years ago. problems were limited to a pair of strut tops and a clutch at about 145k miles...Hmm..and not a lot else.

I also just bought a Xantia Robert, but it's the 110HDi. I'm quite impressed with how refined it is overall. But I prefer the looks of the S1 Xantia.
The 2nd time I drove it, it burst a high pressure LHM pipe it seems!

So we've not started very well...
cheers

I grew up with Xantias, they're great cars. But I still prefer the Xms! Better seats, and that bit bigger. I bought it as a temporary commuter to use when I go to University in February before I go on my next school placement.
I hope the Xantia doesn't frustrate you too much George, simple things on a Xm like changing door locks and ignition switches are a real pain in the Xantia (this has been my biggest gripe with working on a Xantia again).
Any pictures of your new car George?

One lock is inoperative in mine. But I'm mostly worried of the heater matrix going after me having spent £££ on the car. What do u do with a Xantia when this happens (and u can't do the job yourself)...?? So although I'd like to tidy it up a bit, I'll probably wait and see how it behaves for a while.
I'll sure post photos when it's repaired and washed. At the moment it doesn't deserve any photo, I'm angry with it!

Heater matrices are doable. Budget a good weekend and the price of a new windscreen and you'll be grand. The matrix itself isn't all that expensive, I think they're £40-45 now.
