yds thats right, both clarkson and Quentin Willson said the XM was an amazing car and that youmust buy one.................and the XM flopped big time Clakson mentioned the xm a lot in his books and newspaper columns in the mid 90's, he liked the CX very much too and i believe May is a massive DS fan.

I'm a bit late coming to this thread but, yes mine is used daily..... and I do mean daily. I've put about 10k miles on it since I bought it in July last year.

Been under the car today changing the ATF and am astounded by the condition of it underneath....... SO solid! Still haven't found a spot of rust on the panels either. Must've been built on a good day! (I've just guaranteed that it's going to break down tomorrow, haven't I???? )

I'm more and more impressed with the car all the time. Drove a brand new Insignia a couple of weeks ago and found the ride jiggly and the visibility dreadful. Can quite honestly say I'd rather drive the XM.

Im sure I saw a Top Gear with the XM on the cool wall, and little hammond wanted it uncool, but clarkson promoted the XM to Cool! Im sure he did...

Clarkson said it would be a future classic and put it in the classic section, Hammond disagreed!

T'was the opposite way round, Hammond suggested it as cool, Clarkson scoffed and said "The Citroen XM?? It just didn't work, they never worked, while you were in the dealer's office signing the paperwork, it was out the back disintegrating!".

Hammond put it (a silver S2 Exclusive I believe) on the Cool wall anyway though
