Oh Bliss, I've got another XM!

I sold my white 2.5TD VSX to Malcolm at Savoy a few months ago. (It turned up on the classic cars website with a very surprising price on it, but that's not really an issue). I regretted it almost straight away but needed to get a 4x4 to tow my boat. Got a Nissan Terrano which was OK for towing but I realised that it wasn't an everyday motor. Sold it yesterday and I thought I would not be able to get a decent XM manual so I'd decided to settle for a good Synergie (had 2 before).
I phoned my Citroen garage expert Paddy to ask if he had a nice Synergie and he said "no, but why don't you buy our 2.5 XM." What!!!
I drove it home today and it felt like being home again. It's gorgeous! Dark metallic green VSX. Get this - the sunroof actually works! Aircon, passenger airbag, working segment display. I'm in seventh heaven!
I'll post some pictures soon.

Superb. Best colour!
Look forward to seeing the pics - and the car in the flesh either at the CCC National Rally at Gaydon in 10 days time or at the CXM Rally in Sept.

The CCC rally sounds interesting. We've also just acquired a new bell tent so it would be a good chance for an overnight camp. What goes on? Is it just mainly wandering around looking at cars you could never afford?

Far from it, it's a good excuse to get together for a beer or three, talking Citroen et al - and putting the world to rights. The quality and value of the cars there never puts me off - many are unobtainably pristine classics in the true sense but most are simply nice, enthusiast (as opposed to speculator/poseur) maintained old cars. And as a forum for exchange of views, superb too. The 'flea market' jumble sale is useful in the extreme too.
This is the first year at the Motor Heritage Museum, so there's lots to do in addition to the strolling along the ranks of Citroens.
Me and a bunch of BXers always camp over and try to make a memorable event of it.
From the CCC Forum: "Sunday day entry :-
Car & Driver - £9
Passenger - £7
Kids (5-16) - £5
Kids (<5) - Free
All these prices include entry to the museum - normally £9/adult, £7 kids.
Camping will be available on Saturday night, £12/unit.
If you want to arrive earlier on Saturday, and spend time visiting the museum, (that's included).
Trader and flea market stand space will be available.
We also have access to the museum's workshops on Sunday, and will be offering time slots to the model sections to arrange "How-Tos", "Buyer's Guides", "Maintenance Tutorials" and whatever other sessions they wish to run, subject to time available on the day!"
Please make it if you can: I'll be turning up in my XM this year, all being well.
