The 12v V6s sound very nice too!

Had u seen on youtube that 12v with a "mushroom" air-filter somewhere in Eastern Europe? The sound on giving it throttle was amazing -although it was perhaps chipped too. Sadly I've not been able to find this video for a while now.

Very true! :D
Haven't seen that video but I like the idea of the extra roar! Mmm...think I may have a induction filter spare too! :D

NO your not dreaming, this IS the first addition to this car Ive made for years!

While awaiting around for parts to arrive for other things going on in other places, I had a further prod around this Ole SEd I have here.

My initial thing was to swap the drivers wing and nose cone for nicer parts from the J reg Manderin, as the wing was the wrong colour and the nose cone was all peeling..

Anyway managed to get the wing off easilly too with a bit more disapointment..

There was no lower wing attachment bolt or hinge... There is COMPLETELY no wing/bumper securing bracket, yes they rust and Ive manged to rebuild them before.. but..

Image

Its not there, it was all in a pile in the inner arch liner lower point...

So, the outer face of the corner of the sill is bad..

Image

However, on this side the outrigger behind the front jacking point is actually soilid for a change.

A but further down the drivers cill ..

Image

I thought, out of interest whats the passenger side like...

Well, pretty much the same, no lower securing bracket or bolt, outer face rotton...

Image

However, on this side, the outrigger is also gone too..

Image

So, things are stacking up against me now... rear subframe mounts need dooing like the 24v was.

Now, did we decide this car was apparently the second oldest Diesel in the UK?

Is she worth it? Im undecided at this current moment... :(

We'll put it this way Paul, how does it compare to the one you have just broken. If it is a really early SED, I would say save it, but what else is it hiding? A tricky one as it is a manual too isn't it?

Yea Russ... No Auto option till J reg at least. This is a H plate..

I know the rear subframe mounts need dooing too..

The J reg one didn't really need the subframe mounts at the rear dooing and I considered cutting them out.. but decided against it

In comparison. It needs about the same amount of what the J reg one needed ...
