The XM's leg space is endless, and I only realised that when I got my Xant and found I couldn't fully extend my legs...It is a very different driving position setup, and because of this, the Xant obliges me to put the back too upright otherwise the steering is too far away, and I end up with back pain after a while.... :( I've now resorted to putting the seat higher up, and this resolves the problem somewhat -more space for the legs, still the steering is too far from me...

My Father always found his Xantia gave him hip ache on long journeys, I find the Xm very comfortable. I took Sheddy on a 200 mile round trip on Sunday night and felt fresh as a Daisy afterwards....well, a bit tired as it was gone 1:30 am.

I wouldnt like to stick my neck out on the FCF but on here should be safe.
The Xantia is a badly thought about car inside, there is no hinge section in the huge parcel shelf, the gear lever seems too far away, you cant apply the handbrake easily with the armrest down and the pedals are too close so you can never get comfy, the seat base is too short and there is NOWHERE at all to put something other than a matchbox size cubby under the armrest, the only storage is on the dash in a slot made to jetersen everything out of the open passenger window, the frankly tiny glovebox or the large door pockets, unfortunatly being large and having to hold my phone, glasses, keys and other bits every time you accelerate evertything slides 3 feet towards the back of the pockets and then when you brake............
My glasses are now fitted with frosted lenses .

dont get me wrong, there are a lot of improvements to make it easier to work on etc etc but the cabin is very badly thought about imo

Having big feet, I really notice the pedals are too low.

See what about +10cm on the wheelbase does to a car!

Had yet another afternoon on the xm today (she really is spoiling me  ) and i can safely say its at that critical stage where almost everything thts coming off is off nd its just case of putting it back together now.

I have Dinitrol'd all of the chassis rails, sills, pillars and subframes (its damn good stuff), the only thing i have not done is the drivers side sill but i am going to be welding in that are next week so dont want to apply there yet, there is no rust anywhere on the car except for this pinhole caused by poorly thought out fixing but it cant hurt to add extra protection.
She is looking little bare LOL.
