Hmmm, that would make things a little expensive. TBH if I had to pay that much to retrieve one I'd consider crossing the channel to find something that wasn't sold over here (should have bought the XM van for sale at Citromobile!).

Did I say that id happly donate a cable for copying purposes in return of the copied one replaced FOC might be the best gesture.. otherwise ill be a cable down

If the xud engine is removed removal is easy.. otherwise the leaning back nature of the xud can make it tricky.. theres two cables in the setup.. short one from pedal to quadrant and quadrant to gearbox..

Dean is located on the IOW and I suspect these are the Ventnor stash.
If so you need to factor in transport costs back to the mainland.

John

I'm intrigued.. What's this about a Ventnor stash??

Its cropped up once or twice on here and complete cars offered on ebay.
Gent with space parked up the XM when there was problems and got another one.
When XM's got unavailable he moved on to C5's.
Dean has visited and looks now to be in negotiation.

I thought about viewing last summer when we had a weeks holiday in Ventnor.
Decided not to as for the last 3 years I have needed to use the same system to have roadworthy XM's.
Hence the Peters field stash.

I had forgotten about the lock set, what did I supply.
I can remember the set of rigid floor mats, how have they worked out.
It was the clearance batch of new pipe fittings that you obtained for me that made my day out so worthwhile.
So good of you to take the trouble to track the parts down.
Such a shame when Rocking Horse Poo sits on branch shelves until a stock check has it skipped.

John
You supplied me a full set John, glovebox lock and ignition barrel included....They are the only ones i havent fitted.

The fitted mats are still doing great thanks. The drivers side one has started to show minor signs of wear at the heal point, but the others are perfect still 8-)

A great day today :) An early trip to see Paul in Anglesey saw me collecting "a few bits"

x 1 Inner screen assembly,
A pair of dashboard tweeters
An underbonnet jack retaining bracket
A bunch of switches with perfect graphics to replace some worn ones on mine
A dash display panel to fit my new displays into
A pair of headlamps
A parcel shelf to match the new inner screen

These bits have now played a major part in my dash being fully operational and looking the part - Thanks Paul 8-)

In attempting removal of my dash surround i did manage to crack it at a very visible point just above the central vents  Ive never had a dash so hard to dismantle in any car.its ridiculous :| Still it just means ill have to take another trip to Paul's once im back on the road and get a replacement fitted under the masters watchful eye

Also a great blast out in Paul's V6 8-) That car sounds so good and is a spaceship performance wise :P

I did notice that my hydractive light wont illuminate on the dash all of a sudden after recent changes of lock and dash items....i changed the bulb in it to make sure it wasnt that but still nothing.....Hmmm

The only thing i can think is i did have the drivers door open when trying it and the car was stationary....would that keep it in soft mode and therefore not enable hydractive on the switch? I need to try it when im driving i suppose.....

Might be dark outside now, but that rear screen is going in tonight :P

Ill also try the hydractive light again and take it up and down the street....

Having the display working and a trip to Paul's has reinvigorated me in my xm quest :)

Might be dark outside now, but the rear screen got fitted in tonight :P Im loving it....I feel like ive moved up to first class

I must say with the bits i bought off Paul and now they they are largely fitted and things are working (just left headlamps to clean up and change and the jack retaining bracket to rejuvinate) my love for the old girl has grown even more. I cant wait to get this thing back on the roads for everyone to enjoy marveling at on their morning commute 8-)

By the way i took it for a run up the street tonight and got nothing from the hydractive dash light. Its not the bulb so the next port of call is to check the fuse. Always start with the basics ;)

You're not missing that Nissan quashqhuai then?? :) I sat behind one for one hour today but it went too slow for my liking. Quite popular model here in Ireland. Does your light show when you put it into sports?
