The additional metal shims are anti-squeal shims and should be fitted to reduce the risk of squealing brakes, which is quite likely due to the rear disks being bell shaped.

The original rear disks must have been the correct ones, but the original pads look to be for an estate car, so running over the edge of the disk.

Were the front wishbone rear bushes an interference fit onto the spigot?

...everything fits perfectly, they are good silen blocks.

I will see while driving if they have a problem with squealing, probably the plates were for a caravan and the problem was that one plate rested on the other and it didn't brake well.

Today, the left side was closed, and the radiator was also replaced.

All coming together, Gasa.
I take it that is a new radiator.

Are the steering rack gaiters leaking?
They can be replaced in situ if you remove the passenger side track rod from the rack.
I would recommend either genuine Citroen ones, or quality thermoplastic ones that have the proper grip to secure them. Avoid cheap, Universal ones, as they only last a couple of years.

Today's activity was in the form of replacing the O-ring rubbers on the Actuator, the problem was in the form of an oil leak, all the rubbers were replaced, there are 8 of them.

..care should be taken when removing the pistons, this piston with a spring goes to the engine, care should be taken that it does not fall out during disassembly.
P1190540.JPG
...this piston is without a spring, it is located next to the radiator.

There is nothing complicated to replace, the price for all rubbers is 1 euro :D

Well done Gasa, a known leak area for Delphi-Epic pumps.
Thanks for the write-up, this will be useful for other members to follow.

How much is left to do before this car returns to the road?

There's still a big service left to do, the wheel ties to replace and the cuffs on the steering wheel bar.

I have also completed the search for alloy wheels,I was only looking for original rims, not from Chinese manufacturers :D
