So i'm getting out of idea's...

I'd suggest you make a new topic, not everybody is reading all topics. Maybe John has some ideas.

Mmmm... It is tempting. Might have a bit of a problem domestically given the amount I have just spent on the SED. We shall see.

i did not check the crankshaft end float yet.
The XM has got DIRAVI but i drove the car without hydraulics, sound still present when turning right. While my buddy was driving the car and i was under the open hood, i listened to the speed module of the DIRAVI but the sound came form underneath the motor/transmission. Maybe the problem is on the other end of the speed cable coming form the transmission...

Hi Jim,
Sorry to butt in here. I read somewhere you have serviced anti sink valves. Could you please point me to that write up?
Thanks.

Jan, no need for apologies at all :D

No, not serviced them as such as generally there is no need. One of the most reliable hydraulic components on the car :)

However, they do leak from the end caps and these, although it's not obvious, will unscrew with a pair of locking pliers and careful application. Under these covers will be found O rings which can be replaced. I believe they're the same size as the pump rings...

Off to replace a wheel bearing on my Activa in a bit. I badly want to drive it. As lovely as the C1 is, it's no Activa!!!

Hi Jim,
I had the Toyota Argo which I believe is the same car rebadged for 19 days when I was in Spain no long ago, fantastic little car and so easy to park also very nippy with great fuel consumption it was practically brand new with air con which was needed on occasion with no apparent detriment to power output and very comfortable.
