No need, it's a most interesting one.

Damm strange it only happens when turning one way... That to me would rule the flex plate out but then again...

I'd have originally said the diff but that’s been swapped..

Driveshafts, hubs (wheel bearings) or driveshaft intermediate bearing perhaps may be the root but they must have checked those things when swapping things..

Will be really interesting to know the final cause of the problem.

When turning a corner, the mass of the torque converter puts an axial stress on the flex plate, as the converter is free to float on the shafts and bearing of the transmission.

It would be useful to know more about the onset of this case, and whether any of the work done changed the symptoms at all.

Hi Guys,

It's my XM you're talking about. Another video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JrVH5X-n0Y

XM only makes the noise while cornering to the right. When i lift from te gas while cornering right the noise continuous. When i shut down the engine while cornering right the noise stops.

Automatic gear box is changed including torque converter, flexplate and flywheel. Noise is still the same. Later today i will pick up the car and i will have a look at the swapped parts. We wil jack the car only on the right side to see if noise will occur while runnig idle.

I will let you know the result.

Regards Tom

Another thing to check is excessive crankshaft end-float due to a failed crankshaft thrust bearing. At least you don't need to remove the engine to check it!

We jacked up the car on the right running idle, up dow up down etc. to shake te car a lot. No sound. The flexplate that came out of the car is undamaged, no cracks, no rust. Same story for the starterwheel(dont know the name)?

So i'm getting out of idea's...
