Lovely looking boot lid!... that's a great paint job. Does need aligning a little. That's a definite two fingers up to the sods who smashed it up!

Check the g/box oil. Make sure - especially in this cold weather - that it's got the correct grade in there (1.9L of 75W/80 book says), and that someone hasn't filled it with anything heavier. Impossible to tell by looking: best just to drain and refill.

Also check clutch pedal adjustment is within tolerance, and there isn't excessive carpet/mat under it!!

Thanks Russ, the match is spot on, and you're right it does need a little adjustment... I just don't know how...

Chris, I picked the car up on 15th November and the gear change was fine then. The clutch is a bit different from K-BAN, there isn't as much travel. The car was parked up on the day I got it and didn't move then until near the end of January when I took it for a quick spin around the block, that's when I noticed the gear change was heavy, I assumed it just needed lubricating. I may change the oil this weekend and see if that helps, and also grease the selector rods.

It can only be a few things. The hinges, or the catch. But up by the roof it looks okay. It doesn't look like its latching properly.

Maybe the striker plate needs adjusting?

That seems a bit odd. I suspect eh heavy gear changes are due to either the gear linkage requiring adjustment or the clutch not fully disengaging.

Didn't Vince have issues with the linkages. Something broke off en route to one of the X rallies. I assume they were fixed properly.
