Old hand now

Absolutely

Long enough that now there's no way out. It's Hotel California - you can check out [of XM ownership] any time you like but you can never leave...

I got the Citroen bug years ago . . . even converted my wife and brother . . . and my daughter is seriously thinking along C4 lines
But the XM was always one of those that just slipped by. Driving home on the motorway after just buying it I'm sliding down into the seat thinking
now I understand why this should be V6 leather and cruise but I bought this car for a reason. I could have bought one already done but it wouldn't have given the job satisfaction that I get from the Xantia after 5 years of toil. That's what I'm after with the XM.
Unfortunately I now find myself looking at the V6

but if I want one of them I'm going to have to be a bit devious as her ladyship has already given me
that look that says that if I do my dinner will be in the dog . . . and he died three years ago.

Well hang in there Eddie, Ive got a Series 1.5 V6 SEi auto on LPG to do up... in green.
On a K plate, she needs a bit of work, but Ive got everything to do it.. just need to do it..
It was my own car, did 40k in it and loved EVERY moment!!
So, when she is done, Ill be selling her too I THINK.
Only because I have a Series 1 24v V6 Manual, and an SED 2.1 Manual...

Its not hard.. Open a Photobucket account... then after you take your photos, upload them to Photobucket.. Smart Phones have an ap, so you can do it directly...
Then in photo bucket, theres a link under each picture which you then copy (its the image link I think) into your post on here etc and the picture shows up...

I've had a good session this afternoon sorting things out - some good, some bad.
The good bits are all the lights are sorted, all the pipework is checked and cleaned, especially the oil filler which was gunked up to hell. A friend who has always done any paintwork for me is not well at the moment but has put me in touch with a guy who he swaps work with. The exhaust is nearly new and the underbody is in good nick except for two small places on the NSR which will need welding. The front bumper is going to have to be removed as the brackets which hold it on at the side have broken.

C4s. Cannot recommend them enough and they are sincerely underrated cars! Modern, however still a bit out of the ordinary especially with the Coupe shape too.
An XM V6 is like no other XM... Just like the Xantia V6 is like no other Xantia...
If I was you I'd keep an eye on that blue XM V6 on eBay, nice plate too. They're not exactly common either...

I can recomend C4's too.. My sister can destroy anything... She killed a Mazda 323f GTi 1.8, A Xantia TD I lent her, A ford Galaxy 2.3 Auto and did that properly..., and an Astra 1.7 CDTi....
However, she currently has a C4 1.6 HDi 16v, and so far now for three years, shes not killed it or had any issues with it...
Theres only one thing that has caused a headache, she has the 3dr "razor" back, the nearside tail light is always playing up and going out!!! Other then that nothing, and 60mpg!

Yes. I coyly left that up on the laptop in the living room as I went to make a drink as a hint to her ladyship.
The remark she shouted from the living room can't be repeated on an open forum.
