I use one of those portable car heaters and a spare battery when I need to keep or get stored cars dry.
Drop the back seats, put the heater and battery on a board in the centre of the boot.
12 Volt Heater with cigar plug lead are lees than £10 on ebay.
Lead with battery clips and cigar socket £2.
Battery is from keeping a couple that will still charge but not well enough to use on a car.
John
Thanks for the suggestion John, ill definitely have a look into that...sounds cheap enough doesn't it

today it has almost as much moisture inside the interior as on the exterior....its not raining in, but the inside of the windscreen and rear window get sodden. (sunroof I suspect)
Why not silicone it?
*After* it's back on the road, of course

It's certainly best if the XM can be kept in use Vince. They really do thrive on it.
I've got my Activa laid up at the moment and I dead to think how that one will be when I next look at it.
Most winters it spends time doing nothing and it takes weeks for it to get back to normal...
When we have a spell of nice weather I'll go and warm it up and take it for a spin.

I quite agree. My cars are the one thing that keeps me sane. They're my therapy and essential to my health...
I'm not joking about that either

Sounds a bit Yossarian Catch 22 to me: I rely upon my Citroens for my mental health, but to like a Citroen you must be mad...
Keep well chaps!

Likely quite true Rob. All of my non-Citroen owning friends think so and tell me so at very frequent intervals

Well I had a bit of time this morning as im off work so got the xm running and brought it up to temp whilst giving it some citaerobics. I also dried out the interior with the heater on full whack and operated all the lights for a while to run some current through the wiring. I gave it a good check over under the bonnet and all seemed good and dry ; ) finished it off with a quick run round the block to work the brakes. All in order and running well : ) I've ordered a rear silencer today for it through work so I can put that back together again
I found out why it's so wet inside. ..heavy condensation on the inside glass of the sunroof. ..it rained on me when I drove off. ....

Lol, I'm with you there Paul. ...Also the damp is making my headliner sag at the back. That will need to come out next year when the weather picks up after winter and ill re glue it and staple it....always fancied auto trimming ; )
