No work done at all today on the car, but it played a vital role in the most important job I've done all year - over to Halfords to pick up a wheeled tool cabinet with a 7 and a 5 drawer chest (on offer - all for the price of the wheeled cabinet). All my tools are now in one place, something never before achieved, and they are tidy and organised. Just in case anyone sharp enough points out what earthly use I could have for any tools given my mechanical skills are the equivalent of an IQ of 50, I can merely point to the hammer drawer where I have a selection of six large ones to choose from...

:) Nice, we can now all come along and use all your tools! Different hammers always come in handy! Mechanical skills are only acquired by doing things, not from theory alone. How about starting a simple service your Range Rover??

If I even look at my Range Rover, a pile of iron oxide big enough to be seen by Google Earth drops out. It runs beautifully (a lovely 2.5 turbodiesel with Bosch pump) but the rust, oh vey.

That's what's known as a 'Clarkson' toolkit Charles...

It comes from an episode of TG where May and Clarkson showed off their tool chests' May's were drawer upon drawer of neatly organised spanners and sockets whereas Clarkson's were all varieties of hammers...
