Centre box should have rear spigots to match.

John
That will be for exhausts with the flexi section to isolate the rest of the exhaust system from engine vibration, all 2.0 / 2.1 xm's ive seen do not use the cross brace on the ransmission tunnel for anything. The cat to centre section clamp is socketed to hold the pipe up, if the pipe is rubbing the brace it has sagged for some reason, either incorrect fitting or exhaust or loose clamps.

It was a new exhaust last year and It did vibrate against the cross brace after fitting.

Re: R267 PGF 2.0TCT - I have a Lexia (clone)!

Well, I finally had spare funds this month, so hit BIN on this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181175468514? ... 1439.l2649

Very excited, can finally work out what's wrong with the suspension, and find out what's turning the EML light on occasionally (it's off more than on nowadays). Lexia has been dispatched already so hopes are high for a saturday play!

Also got a bag of parts from captain haddock, which will be fitted as well

XM deserves some love anyway, having only lifted the bonnet to top the coolant up every 2 weeks or so, doing 2k miles in about a month and a half, and sitting in the car park at work in the heat

she is doing well

Ignore the time, that was about half 1 in the afternoon last week!

Gearbox oil is coming up for another flush, going to leave the LHM flush in and just check the filters for now. Hope it's dry on saturday

2 months since an update - sorry! In that time, precisely nothing has really happened apart from being driven! However, I got some parts from CaptainHaddock today, and now have:

4 working electric windows, that work from the front and the back! (new switch to disable/able the rear switches has worked)
An expansion cap for the header tank that has it's seal. Just fitted it now, topped up the resevoir and idled it up to temp and it didn't leak. Will see how it holds driving home tonight.
Also got a new pipe to replace the one I put a hole in, but the repair is holding up well so won't rush to do that!

Got some LHM ready to go in to replace the hydraflush, may try and do that on Sunday. She is in desperate need of a wash but it's too hot to do that. Currently doing 32.4mpg, which is pretty damn good!

Not so good points, the rear is hard most of the time, sometimes bouncy slightly. Front is and soft, it depends what mood it is in. Doing citrobatics, sometimes the rear will rise and the front wont, then suddenly the front will shoot up to the right height, then go up and down fine after that.

I still havent got the lexia working either. I think it doesnt like running in a virtual machine, so on the lookout for a cheap laptop .Sadly the sort I want (barely able to run XP) seem to go for £40-50, which IMO is too steep. May build up a spare PC I have and run it from that in the garage if needs be.

Apart from that, I'm trucking along!

Sticking height corrector linkage at the bearing.

That coolant doesn't look like rust to me, looks like its had a bottle of k seal added to it....I put it in my xantia to strengthen the system and it looked just like that afterward....was clean before it was added ; )
