Very sad news. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul at Ray Noon's place, which, of course, was a great weekend also tinged with sadness. At least they will be able to share their XM stories together. Two top members.
LG.

I heard the extremely sad if not entirely unexpected news earlier this week via the UK Citroen Car Club magazine of Paul's passing and, although not often on the site these days, I knew there would be a commemorative thread and I just wanted add my sincere condolences and appreciation

I can only echo other comments that Paul really was an exceptional individual in his knowledge of and unswerving commitment to the model, despite occasional dabbling in lesser Citroens! The generous sharing of expertise and parts have already been mentioned several times and he certainly helped me out on many occasions and left a great legacy of information here and will be very sorely missed

Best wishes, Matthew T.

Above all Paul loved his 24v and I am sorry I do not have a photo of the platinum car but hopefully this will do

''Sad news, everyone. Despite our best efforts, we have concluded that the XM of Paul Breeze-Roberts is beyond economical repair. Having now been thoroughly assessed, the corrosion goes deep into the structure and is beyond my capabilities and financial reach.
We paid £600 for the car and I’ve since spent another £380 on parts, thinking we could save it. We’re heartbroken but hoping that somebody out there would like to take it on or be able to use any of the spares. Paul would be happy to know the car helped to save others.
Sorry to disappoint everyone as we were hoping to return it to the road but weren’t expecting the rust to have been so serious.
It’s a 2.1 TD Exclusive (Series 2) with a really good interior. I’ve got both outer sills and lots of spare trim - but everything else is on the car. Feel free to call/message me: +44 7968 993826''

What a shame, it doesn't look half as bad to my eye. This would be a great project for someone to learn how to weld.
