Hello. I am Kevin and live in Chiang Rai, Thailand and have a 1995 Citroen xm salon. My brother recently worked on dash and its brokon due to the heat over many years I am therefore looking for a replacment dash. I understand the dash was changed in 1994 so would a 1990 dash still fit tthe 1995 model? Or does anyone have other solutions. No problem to send a dash here. As the rear light / lenses are also faded I would like to replace these too. Thanks Kevin

Hi Kevin,
The dashboard skin from a 1990 Xm will not fit a 1995 Xm, as the change point was 1994. The cars are commonly known as Series 1, or Series 2, the model numbers are Y3, or Y4.

The complete dashboard unit can be swapped over from a donor car, but that would entail replacing the wiring loom and could well lead to wiring connection issues.

Is the car Rhd, or Lhd?

A good few XMs being broken at the moment. You need a Series 2 dash for a 1995 car. LHD or RHD needed?

Hi Guys
My car is 1996, vin VF7Y4TV0000TV-5528 and RHD (same a UK), so series 2, Y3 or 4?
What happened is that my brother removed the cover of the fuse box / blower area as a mouse had nested in it. He then proceeded to remove the complete lower cover of the dash to clean out the aircon ducts.
This was cracked and broke into two and this is the part that needs replacing
1-2 of the point where the screws join that part to the main dash are also broken but I image we could repair those

Y4 (those numbers are part of the VIN number) = S2. Y3 = S1.
If not dismantled correctly, dash parts can get broken. Lots of screws, so you just need to know where they are!

Obtaining a Series 2 (Y4), Rhd, left side lower dash panel shouldn't be difficult, normally the are discarded when a car is scrapped.

Members EthanR and Kisamus among others are breaking series 2 cars.

It may be worth trying sourcing from Japan, for more local supply.

I've got the lower under dash panel here in uk for S2..

I don't think you need to replace a whole dash for that..

Ideally the side panel of the centre console where the foot well air outlets are needs to Come off to get the lower panel in properly.

I can export. At cost. As we have left the EU but I've been exporting more now then when we were in the eu.

Send some pictures of rear lamps I have a selection of those too.

So are all those dash parts missing or broke. They are parts that can be fitted alone. You don't need a full dash just the items missing.
