Hi Bob
The number doesn't work either but if its the diode kit, yes, it works if that's what the problem is, I have fitted diodes in several and they have restored normal function. I didn't use the kit though, I fitted the doiodes inside the ECU.

It's worth it. It's called insurance.

Hi Bob,
How to paste a link.......

This is the first one I found. If it's not very clear simply try searching (on You Tube or Google)
'How to paste a url'.
There are lots of instruction video's on the net.

Hmmm,
sorry to be a confusing sod, but Ive found one fitted to a mates car, actually doesn't seem to be dooing its job, and the car is still constantly in soft mode one moment then suddenly back into hard..
Car has had hydraflush and LHM change, ALL spheres changed, and the e croft kit fitted too.. tried a same year ECU aswell...

Have you had the ecu hooked up to a lexia? it could be an ecu fault other than the common diode/driver failure as found by stempy on FCF or it could be a sensor issue, the steering sensor is a favourite i believe along with the other 3, ive heard rumours that just clearing the fault codes makes a big difference but its not anything ive experienced so i cant say if it does or not.

A few thoughts:
Performing a fault analysis with the proper equipment may be a good idea.
Clearing stored faults won't cure an intermittent problem, I think.
Fitting the external diode set won't cure faulty wiring/connectors/mechanical problems.
Flushing does not always/rarely cure a neglected hydraulic system.
Stiffness regulators can become so dirty that even flushing won't fix them.
