Window motor assembly runner

Hi All,

Just removed and about to repair my rear driver's side window mechanism with snapped cable, and found the plastic runner (that fits into the window hole) must have slid off somewhere, and I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone have a plastic runner and c-clip spare or worse case, an entire spare assembly from which I can take one?

It's a 1998 car, but I don't think it matters if it's from a Mk1.

Thanks,
Lee

The plug will be different but I'm sure S2 rears are similar. You may need to cut yur plug off your plug and solder one in .. I can supply winder and a plug complete with some wire to solder in

I think the top rails and plastic runners are different between series 1 & 2 winders.
Just the runner with its stud is different, the matching push on plastic fan and clip are common.
That means you can swap complete assemblies but only repair with correct type bits.
Electrical plugs are common to both.

Thanks both for the responses - problem is I never consciously looked at the plastic runner, so I can't describe it.

Perhaps I should hold out for someone who has a Mk1 or Mk2 version complete, if they both fit?

This is really annoying, I have the repair kit for mine, but without the white plastic part, it's useless.
