George, I have a radio from the series 1.5 that I am breaking. I'll have a look for the code, and it was working when the car was bought over a year ago.

PM me if you're interested.

Regards

Robert

George,

Being an SED, she REALLY should have Clarion headunit and matching Clarion CD Changer, model CDC 9250, of which Ive got in all of my XM's - the 2 V6's and the Turbo when done will have one fitted..

Im not sure if Ive got a spare one, because when I eventually get my own SED, ill be putting one in there too...

Some Peugeot 405 Series 2 (1994 onwards) models had the same unit fitted, for sure the STDt model.. not sure about others..

Is this the radio George needs? The Grey coloured one?

The one I have spare is the black one, with braile like dimples on the buttons.

Hi all

Robert, yes the one I need is with the braile symbols on it. I'll find the model type in the car's papers, it was there I think. This XM's radio is ther but unfortunately seems stuck in...some mode -show permanently 000MW, buttons have little or no effect. Might try to disconnect battery and see -shame as it has a code.

Let me know Robert if u find the code for yours.

BTW what's the radio on the photo? A lesser version I guess -looks interesting though? Why so many buttons -is it the preset radios?

cheers
G

Ahh, thanks for thar Paul, I don't know why I thought it was a posher variant.

It is annoying that it doesn't have RDS, that is my biggest gripe about it.

Hi Paul/George,
I have just located in my stock a Radio/Cassette Head-unit which came out of a Peugeot 405 STDT ('K' reg, IIRC),
I've looked at it and indeed it does have the additional two leads (One white and One Black) with the round DIN type connectors I'm not sure who its made by as it has a 'Peugeot' labeled flap on the cassette entry/flap and on the side is a label which states its a 'PU-9679 A' !
If you can confirm that this is suitable I can then hopefully locate the code for it !
It also has RDS on it and has two Aerial connection on it (One is has male fitting the other has a female) and then there's obviously the normal power/speaker Female feed block (Black) for two male rectangular connectors !

Therefore Paul, if this unit is suitable/compatible ? , I can PM George (or George PM me) thanks 'XMX' :D

Hi XMX

It seems that Robert has found a unit for me, he's testing it tonight and if all goes ok we got a deal.

Thanks for your time though -it sure won't go to waste, some other member might need it anytime sooner or later!

cheers
George
